Previous Term 6 lessons

13th July 2020.  This week's learning in school will involve us learning to use rulers, protractors and compasses to make shapes, including understanding transformations such as symmetry, rotation and translation, and using scale factors.  This learning is in Word document form at the foot of this page.

Until now, we have always done the same in class as I'm asking you to do at home, however, if you are at home and do not have this equipment, I suggest that you continue to follow the Oak National Academy resources.  Use these lessons:

Monday: Solve problems involving the relative sizes of two quantities - Part 1

Tuesday: Solve problems involving the relative sizes of two quantities - Part 2

Wednesday: Ratio problems

Thursday: Unequal sharing

Friday: Unequal sharing problems

6th July 2020.  This week's learning is based on

29th June 2020.  This week's learning is based on percentages, averages and line graphs:

Monday: Understanding percentages

Tuesday: Equivalences between FDP

Wednesday: Problems with percentages of amounts

Thursday: Interpret mean as an average

Friday: Interpret line graphs

22nd June 2020.  This week's learning is based on shape and measure:

Monday: Problems with units of area

Tuesday: Volume of cubes and cuboids

Wednesday: Convert between standard units of mass

Thursday: Solve problems involving calculation of measure

Friday:  Convert between units of time

15th June 2020.  This week's learning is based on shape and measure:

Monday: To generate and describe linear number sequences

Tuesday: To use, read and write, standard units of length, mass and volume

Wednesday: To convert between standard units of length

Thursday: To solve problems involving conversion of length

Friday: To calculate the area of parallelograms and triangles
