2019/20 Projects

All of our 2019/20 project Knowledge Organisers can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Our Term 1 and 2 projects saw a range of visits and visitors.  Years 5 and 6 learnt about the forces involved in travel, before building model cars and planes.  With the support of a team from Rolls Royce, we built model cars which reached incredible speeds of over 70mph on the school playground.

Years 3 and 4 learnt about the value of food and exercise, and made a collection for our local foodbank.  In years 1 and 2, children learnt about a range of motions, including how pulleys and levers work.  At the end of their project, they designed a wooden castle which is now in the school playground for all of us to play in.

Our term 3 and 4 projects were largely Geography based, with a focus on the local area.  The Year 5 and 6 project is described in more detail here.  Years 3 and 4 took an example of a river walk in the local town of Clevedon and created their own, Worle River walk along the River Banwell.  Years 1 and 2 created a Historical walk in the local area, using the knowledge of Worle Local History Society.

Our learning came to abrupt end in March 2020, before restarting online and with groups of children in school.  Learning which we completed at home or in school during the Lockdown can be viewed here.
