Each year, our Year 6 pupils have the exciting opportunity to become River Captains for one of our four school rivers: Axe, Banwell, Brue and Usk.

River Captains have an important role in leading their river, encouraging teamwork and setting a positive example for others. Throughout the year, pupils earn points for their river, and every two terms we celebrate their achievements, recognising the hard work, effort and contributions of all our pupils.

Being a River Captain is a valued responsibility and gives our Year 6 pupils the opportunity to develop their leadership, confidence and teamwork skills, while making a positive contribution to our school community.
