“High expectations for behaviour and attitudes should include the development of core values such as respect for self and others, resilience and motivation to succeed.” Positive learning behaviour is about creating an environment where students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning.
Staying Safe Online
The internet is an amazing tool – where would we be without it? However, it can create a whole host of problems, especially for young people who are not entirely familiar with potential risks.
At Becket Primary School we take matters of e-safety very seriously and aim to ensure that all staff and pupils have the skills to use the internet safely. We have a dedicated e-safety committee with pupils, staff and governors represented.
If you have any concerns about something that you have seen online, or the online safety of a child, please use the links below to report your worries.
https://www.ceop.police.uk/Safety-Centre/
If you have any worries, concerns or have experienced something upsetting on the internet, on your phone, whilst gaming or watching TV you can use the CEOP report button.
If you would like an adult to speak to you about your concerns, you can speak to them directly, or leave your name on the form. If you prefer not to tell the adult your name, that is fine too.
Please make sure that you speak to a trusted adult or friend if you need urgent help! Your report does not have to be something that has happened to you, it could be something that a friend is upset about too.
Road Safety
The website BRAKE has advice for parents travelling with children in the car, families on foot, cycling, crossing the road and more.
THINK! Also runs a road safety campaign with advice and guidance for parents, including road safety videos highlighting the importance of staying safe near roads.

There are tasks you can complete with your child/children in the pupil zone, please access these by clicking on the link below.
Mental Health Information for Parents
Mentally Healthy Schools resources
To help schools and parents rebuild and recover, Mentally Healthy Schools has created a set of practical resources to help make the transition back to school easier for everyone, and help the whole school community rebuild and recover. The resources are designed to be social distancing-friendly and are suitable for all schools. They contain lesson plans for teachers, advice and guidance for parents, and simple activities for children to complete in class or at home.
